Cross-Cultural Adventure (CCA)

Centre for Transformation and Development (CTD) organizes TRANSFORM cross-cultural adventure (CCA) to the heartland of Chiang Mai, Thailand a few times a year. People who are interested to know more about northern Thailand, mission work and social work should not miss this. You will get to learn the Thai culture and simple Thai language and also do church and social work at the same time. You’ll get the chance to try out some simple feeding, farming and cooking if you are not afraid of getting your hands dirty too. Of course, you will not miss the opportunity to go sightseeing and shopping too.

The itinerary for 6-day CCA trip is as below:

Day 1 Arrival, check-in, cultural and language training, Night Bazaar

Day 2 Sankampaeng Hotspring, umbrella factory and shopping

Day 3 Set out to Chiang Dao, feeding and visitation

Day 4 Farming, cooking and visitation

Day 5 Sunday Service, set out to Chiang Mai, Walking Street

Day 6 Wet market, Airport Plaza, Departure

Cost for the trip: S$1300 per head inclusive of air-tickets, lodging, meals and sightseeing for adults. S$1000 for children between 4-12 years old. (Prices subject to change)

The itinerary for 8-day CCA trip is as below:

Day 1 Arrival, check-in, cultural and language training, Night Bazaar

Day 2 Sankampaeng Hotspring, umbrella factory and shopping

Day 3 Choice of Mae Sai (cross over to Myanmar)/Golden Triangle (with cruise to Laos)/Doi Inthanon (highest peak in Thailand)

Day 4 Elephant show, elephant ride, ox-cart riding, bamboo rafting, buffet lunch, tribal village

Day 5 Set out to Chiang Dao, feeding and visitation

Day 6 Farming, cooking and visitation

Day 7 Sunday Service, set out to Chiang Mai, Walking Street

Day 8 Wet market, Airport Plaza, Departure

Cost for the trip: S$1500 per head inclusive of air-tickets, lodging, meals and sightseeing for adults. S$1150 for children between 4-12 years old (Prices subject to change)

Date for trips: Whatever period that suits you, as long as you have a group of 8. Note that sequence of itinerary may defer due to the availability of the flights and place of ministry.

Seminars

The Centre also conduct seminars for Christians in order that they may live a Christ-centred life. The seminars would focus on living a Christian life using biblical principles and values. In addition, the Centre seeks to equip Christians with essential ministry skills to run the local church more effectively and to expand the work of God.

To further enhance spiritual formation, we also provide help in personal discipling and counselling by being a friend to you.

We welcome you to be part of the teaching team. We can sit down and discuss together what seminars we can conduct for others. They can learn and you can practice teaching in a cross-cultural setting too. Alternatively, if you already have a team but do not know where you can train Christians to be godly disciples for Christ, we would be glad to link you up with the local churches and coordinate the trip for you.
