This ministry is started by Chua Bian Hin and his wife Lee Shu Mian. Right after finishing his Engineering degree in NTU, Bian Hin went into full-time ministry. He served as a pastor at a church in Singapore before the whole family responded to the call of God to go Chiang Mai, Thailand as missionaries to pastor a church in Chiang Mai and a preaching point at Chiang Dao.

In 2012, they left the field to station back in Singapore to start the CTD ministry. He holds a MA (Biblical Studies) from Singapore Bible College, a MDiv from East Asia School of Theology and a MTh (Missions in Asia) from Trinity Theological College, Centre for Study of Christianity in Asia. Shu Mian holds a MA (Pastoral Work) from Asia Pastoral Institute. They have three sons Ezra, Luke (deceased) & Micah. The family is now worshipping at Shuvah Church in Singapore.
