Cross-Cultural Adventure (CCA)

Centre for Transformation and Development (CTD) organizes TRANSFORM cross-cultural adventure (CCA) to the heartland of Chiang Mai, Thailand about twice a year. People who are interested to know more about northern Thailand, mission work and social work should not miss this. You will get to learn the Thai culture and simple Thai language and also do church and social work at the same time. You’ll get the chance to try out some simple feeding, farming and cooking if you are not afraid of getting your hands dirty too. Of course, you will not miss the opportunity to go sightseeing and shopping too.

Both young and old, will get to opportunity to serve God together through organising games, telling Bible stories, making crafts or even cooking. As a group, we will also have morning devotions and pray together as a team.

There will also be some time for the team to relax as we go to some place of interest.

Date for trips: Usually we go twice a year during the June and December holidays as it coincides with the school holidays.

Seminars

The Centre also conduct seminars for Christians in order that they may live a Christ-centred life. The seminars would focus on living a Christian life using biblical principles and values. In addition, the Centre seeks to equip Christians with essential ministry skills to run the local church more effectively and to expand the work of God.

To further enhance spiritual formation, we also provide help in personal discipling and counselling by being a friend to you.

We welcome you to be part of the teaching team. We can sit down and discuss together what seminars we can conduct for others. They can learn and you can practice teaching in a cross-cultural setting too. Alternatively, if you already have a team but do not know where you can train Christians to be godly disciples for Christ, we would be glad to link you up with the local churches and coordinate the trip for you.
